About

Oak & Burrow is Marc Hansen — a finishing carpenter with more than twenty years in the carpentry trade, working as an independent subcontractor across the Lower Mainland.

I come onto a project at the finishing phase, after the structure is up and before the client moves in. It's the work that gets looked at closely every day: casings, baseboard, crown, stairs, built-ins, exterior siding and trim. General contractors, designers and homeowners bring me in for that phase because it has to be precise, durable and clean. For homeowners, Oak & Burrow takes renovations from layout to done — re-framing, finishing carpentry, and coordination of plumbing, cabinetry and tile, with the same standard of detail as the finish work shown here.

I run my own business, carry my own tools, and take on my own scope of work on each project. The photographs on this page are my own — details I shot of my finished work on site, on projects where I was the finishing sub to the general contractor.
